The main reason we did this is because it's fun! It kept Maya occupied and very much entertained for a long time. I have to admit that it was a little bit messy at the end but definitely worth it as I could get quite a lot of house chores done. A good bath, and Maya was all clean and ready for dinner.
Items: Black sugar paper, doilies, glitter paint, a paint brush, double sided tape and scissors.
Method: Use double sided tape to stick the doilies to the black sugar paper. By sticking the doilies to a bigger piece of paper, the mess will be contained within the area and the whole piece can be discarded at the end of this activity.
Lay the sugar paper with the doilies on a flat surface area and start painting. I had to help Maya to press out the glitter paint at some point during the session.
