Plaster of Paris Easter Egg

Easter is just around the corner so we decided to make plaster of Paris Easter eggs. It's really very easy to do and it's definitely more durable than empty egg shells. Since she was introduced to baking, Maya gets all excited when she sees eggs. She will take them up and say ,"Egg! Egg!"

Items needed: Empty egg shells, egg carton, plaster of Paris, pitcher, fork and skewer.

Method: Use the skewer to scrap the inner part of the egg shells. This is to break the inner membrane and air cell. Stand the empty egg shells in the egg carton. Mix the plaster of Paris with the ratio of two parts plaster, one part water in the pitcher. Stir with the fork until even. Pour into the egg shells. Gently move the shells from side to side to remove trapped air bubbles. Wait for a few hours until the plaster has harden. Peel off the egg shells, and paint.
